There is no legitimate “skepticism” about human caused global warming anymore. None. The science is settled. If you’re still coaiming it’s nit reak and not hapoening now youvare either dishonest, horribly ignorant, or a thoroughly propagandized dupe.

OPEC now represents a minority of oil production. Sure, they can move the needle, but they can’t control the price like they used to. $40/barrel is already well below their target. They are stuck between the hard place (fracking) and the oil sands. Raise the price too much, making oil sands extraction profitable, and Canada kicks Alberta production back to full run.

OPEC never was a unified organization, you could compare it to herding cats. The members have wildly varying objectives. The Saudis may care about oil prices, but Venezuela doesn’t, they’ll take anything they can get right now.
