Do you think that’s going to make a difference? It seems to me that the average person doesn’t care one bit what the motive is.
I will never not think of “Strange Beasts” whenever smart glasses are brought up.
Yes, because it’s for actual devs and not “influencers”
Something like this, maybe?
I still think a valid application of this type of technology is to put things like documents or manuals with reach of a technician who’s working on something you wouldn’t want to get dirty or messy, like an engine or an aircraft, or where you can’t lug around a heavy tech manual (or even a chunk of a tech manual).
I didn’t have this idea first- I saw it in Michael Crichton’s book Airframe, in which is was used by the protagonist to locate the places a specific module for an aircraft might be installed in.
Oh, terminal emulator.
An interesting application.
Of course, you’d have to make sure that no person or company could seize control of that.
Yeah, I’ve read this book already.
Ah, I see the display is only projected on the right lens, making it completely unusable for me because I have amblyopia in that eye.
Sweet.
That is FANTASTIC, thanks for linking, dunno how I missed it first time around. If a feature or longer indie film did that, wow!
Thanks for that, now I’m going to read it too!
Someone at Intel just wants to do some serious Kingsman LARPing.
It gets off to a fast and confusing start… No chapters, just different type faces and hopping quickly between storylines.
I enjoyed Year Zero even more than After On, recommend you try it first. Not because they’re related, but because it’s a goddamned treat, and a substantially quicker read.
