Iron Maiden's social-media/piracy success story was wrong(ish)

Whew. Back to claiming piracy supports drug dealing, terrorists, and pedophiles for the RIAA and MPAA I guess.

Ok, there’s the link to the old story.
Where’s the link about the mistake the author made?

They have been touring Latin America since I can remember. They have a HUGE following there and they’ve known this forever. Maiden concerts are pretty an yearly event in Brazil, for instance.

Yes please. One cannot complain about half-hearted retractions from ‘the enemy’ without oneself being wholehearted.

Curious how this one gets explained. Maybe there was an assumed (not fact checked for accuracy) link between the technique and the band’s bookings.

I never know, am I supposed to call up everyone I told this to in conversation now and make a personal correction?

Oh well, perhaps the incorrect news will make itself. Not like it isn’t a great idea.
