I learned that when Disney built some new Abominable Snowmen for the Matterhorn ride a decade or so ago they had trouble sourcing high-quality artificial fur since furs are no longer in fashion these days. Had to special-order it from France. (Or so it was claimed, anyway. Maybe they just secretly used the pelts from real Abominable Snowmen)
