The votes of people like me need to count for something, or people will just not vote. In my state all the electoral votes go to the winner of the popular vote. Over 600,000 votes for Clinton basically went into the toilet in 2016, as all 8 electoral votes went to Trump.
Modify it, do away with it, whatever, but a system that nullifies the voice of the minority completely shouldn’t be allowed. There are no binary, red/blue states.
