Meanwhile the first raccoon gets plenty to eat while the cat is distracted. Tomorrow the raccoons will switch places, and the second raccoon will eat its fill. Teamwork!

At my parents’ place a few years ago - a family of raccoons lived under the house, and would regularly come up for grub. The cats were wary, but tolerant:

At my old Apt, I would see the trash kitties and raccoons slink into the storm drains together.
