Maybe we just need to re-frame it for them. Explain to them what the vaccines are doing. Something like this - Hey, immune system, there are some terrible, awful foreigners looking to invade you. Here is some information you can use to identify them and prepare home grown weapons to kill them.

The immune system is the body’s police department. If you’ve ever seen a police procedural TV show (Law & Order, CSI, NCIS, etc.) a vaccine is a BOLO. It tells the immune system “bad guys that look like this are coming; get your bulletproof vests and guns ready to fight them as soon as you see them.”
