That saga of the mogul who shouldn’t, the network engineers that couldn’t, and the MMO that wouldn’t sounds like it would have made a much better story/movie than Avatar.

It almost entirely consisted of a lot of things not happening, though - for a good many years, too. Maybe one could create a sort of Waiting for Godot, with Tech Bros…
