You don’t have to work very hard a reading between the lines to see that getting all the Palestinians out of Gaza has been the Israeli government’s goal from the beginning of this operation. They’re not particularly subtle about it. They do realize that they can’t just kill all the Palestinians, but if they make it deadly enough to remain, the hope is that they will decamp and become refugees in some other country.

And with the Trump side saying things like this, I still see people online saying there’s no difference between Democrats and Republicans on Gaza, so they aren’t going to vote. Argh!

I don’t want to give Biden a pass on what he has done on Gaza. I do think that comparisons with Reagan supposedly saying “I didn’t know I had that power” are off though. He knows he doesn’t. It’s not the only time a Republican candidate has used their traitorous power to undermine the US abroad: Nixon did it in Vietnam by sabotaging the peace talks, Reagan did it in Iran for personal political gain, and the Republican Party is at it again in both Ukraine and Gaza. Kushner is telling Netanyahu how he can bulldoze the Palestinians and commit genocide on his watch.
