Scared the crap out of me when I was driving there and there were no convenient fences to keep them from straying into the road. Those hoppers are quite fleet of foot.

The collective noun for kangaroos is ‘mob’. If you’ve ever been walking trough think bush and been startled by a “thump thump thump” sound that suddenly seems to be all around you, you’ll understand why.

Exactly. They’re bounding to avoid standing still. Have you seen the size of their feet? That’s a lot of surface area on the snow.
