You’re joking, right? Trivial in theory, maybe, but local governments don’t even have funds to DNA test rapists, let alone ratburgers.

I’m not expecting the state to do it; I’d expect expect it to be done as part of the ‘obtain expert witness to sway the jury’ stage of either a defamation suit against the diner or a suit against KFC.

That wouldn’t really be something police forensics types do; but there are a lot of private and university outfits who would take the job.
