Orange County is not LA. The City of Los Angeles is in the County of Los Angeles. 10 million people, about 4000 square miles, and not a one of them in Orange County.
Orange County is next door, but itās not āLAā any more than New Jersey is āNew York.ā I realize that Coyote Creek isnāt quite as obvious a boundary as the East River Hudson River, but stillā¦

Orange County is a longtime bastion of California conservativism, home of the John Birch Society, oddly tweaked by conservative support for the Vietnamese āboat peopleā, which led to large-scale immigration of various Asian cultural groups over the last several decades.
Still pretty uptight conservative, though.

OC doesnāt have their own stations and rely on the stations in L.A. Thatās where many conservatives live, but there are many in suburbs in L.A. County that are full of evangelicals, too.

Oh, to be sure, OC is in KTLAās service area, and I didnāt mean to suggest otherwise.
I was just responding to the phrase āOrange County LAā, noting that, however you slice it, OC isnāt LA.
Itās a different place, both physically and culturally.

Oh, I agree. Itās funny you mentioned the creek because I think the driving is different on the sections of freeways in L.A. County and O.C., and one notices this when crossing Coyote Creek.

No matter what the topic may be, there are way too many people who act as though those are the only reactions available, and thatās very irksome.
I can think that something is unfair or ill advised without being āenragedā about it.
Thereās a middleground that people who lean toward extremes often seem to miss.
Thatās totally my āagendaā when shooting the shit online; Iām making a real, quantifiable difference, with each and every keystroke!
