I-10 has its usual complement of construction. If you make it out before the cold front comes in on Wednesday, you should have dry roads heading east, if that’s your vector. Dunno if you plan a resupply in Houston, but getting decent takeout food in Houston is like fishing in a well-stocked barrel. Maybe bring a cooler?

It’s almost like they didn’t get the memo that Trump doesn’t actually mean anything he says and doesn’t give a shit about any of the people who took up arms in his name.

Of course that quote also shows they don’t know how laws work (i.e., the President isn’t “in charge of the law.”)

There’s supposed to be exactly one person on trial here and it’s not the unarmed protesters gunned down by a psychopath who crossed state lines with a dangerous firearm he wasn’t legally allowed to carry.

Well that’s not a promising start. Usually I am not a fan of jury trials but in this case it’s good that the judge won’t be the one deciding the case. He has clearly shown his allegiances.
Meanwhile, the defense will be allowed to refer to the three people Rittenhouse shot as “arsonists,” “looters” or “rioters” so long as they took part in those activities, Schroeder ruled — a decision prosecutor Thomas Binger called “a double standard.”
I wonder if this means the prosecution is allowed to refer to Rittenhouse as a “killer”. He did kill people after all, that’s not being disputed.
