That. Is. Awesome.
Also, to Laura, the rules are fucked up! And costs at private institutions have quadrupled since she graduated:

Yes and.

Public colleges / unis have been racking it up in tandem (though not the same dollar-for-dollar tuition costs) because well, shit, if the the privates are doing it, then it must be ok for them to do it. Blah blah charging what the market will bear blah blah blah.

why do we even let people have electricity or houses, books or language. at some point we were all prey for lions and wolves on the daily. all this technology - it’s not fair to the people who made tools out of rocks and spears out of branches

won’t someone think of the ancestors!

Yeah, that was my first thought (having first matriculated between 1983 and 1987). I’m figuring it was $10-12K per year (Ivy League pricing) compared to the $60 now. I watched my fees increase every year during those 3Β½ years at a CSU. I dropped out of college and returned in 1993, and I couldn’t believe how much the fees increased. (Note: my husband graduated in '85 and he said his fees were $98 per semester his freshman yearβ€”including parking.)

Laura Ingraham can go fuck herself, especially if she took money from her β€œwaitress mother” to go to Dartmouth. (I also think she is lying.)

When I started college, minimum wage was still in the $2+ range, but it was bumped up a couple of times until when I graduated it was $3.35. So minimum wage has NOT EVEN doubled ($7.25), but education has at least quadrupled (and lots of other aspects of our economy as well, of course).

Just an afterthought…video game companies are there to β€œappease people”?

Somebody’s deluded sense of entitlement sure runs deep.

ALL companies exist to make money; period.

I’m sure they shared those thoughts with Hobby Lobby. /s

And Chik Filet, or however the heck it’s spelled.
Funny that β€œcorporations are people,” and they donate money to political candidates, but expressing their beliefs for women’s bodily autonomy on social media is just a step too far for some customers.
Idiots.

Jamie Raskin is awesome. He really is. Let’s not forget that he had a son who died by suicide a week before the insurrection and he’s still carrying on trying to save this ungrateful country. We do need more like him, who aren’t afraid to speak the truth.

And then he invokes RHPS!

The joke is that Trump suggested it a few years ago, and had to be told at the time that it’s not for sale.

the real joke is five years on and newsmax wants it to still be a thing.
