Heβs more upset about this than thousands of people dying from a virus because his followers refuse to wear a mask
Tom Hanks is going as a representative of Greece?
ETA: I had understood him to be renouncing US citizenship but when I look it up it appears that his Greek citizenship is βhonoraryβ. I have no idea what that means. I donβt believe dual citizenship is an option.
It turns out if you side with conspiracy theorists who say Wayfair ships out children in their boxes, the company would be reluctant to work with you.
Oh, and Colbertβs show dropped this gem last night too
Poor Donnie isnβt getting his big military parade today.
β Trump reportedly wants an ostentatious military parade and an official armed forces farewell as the commander-in-chief, as well as a large crowd of supporters, selected backers and current and former officials in his administration and their guests at a huge red-carpet affair.β
-Maybe the Proud Boys, militias and 3 percenters etc can go down to Mara- lago and give him a big military style event? Of course heβll need to provide them with facilities inside and feed them - and provide his own security.
Normally I am against superspreader events, butβ¦
They can wait until the rest of the population has been immunized, the ERs are clear, and theyβre still worried about Bill Gates chips that turn the frogs gay.
I think it means that his wife is Greek American. (Also, Iβve met dual US citizens in the US.)
There are certainly dual citizens. My children are dual citizens. I believe however, that accepting citizenship of another country as an adult would require that you renounce US citizenship. There is a couple exceptions to this like Ireland, but I donβt think Greece is one of them.
I always thought that, too. However, I had a lot of friends from Greece in college in the 80s (even dated a Greek for two years), and I knew two American women who married and kept their US citizenship and received Greek citizenship. One woman was Greek-American and was was not.
Hmm, maybe you only have to renounce Greek citizenship if you are Greek and want to gain US citizenship but not the other way around?
It used to be the case the dual citizenship was against immigration laws, but SCOTUS struck many of those laws down in the 60s.
Just remember your US citizenship is one of only two on the planet which requires you to pay taxes (or at least file if you earn under 150K) even if you no longer reside in the USβ¦
Thanks. Did this change at some point, as Iβm surprised that my understanding is so off?

At 12PM EST, there will be 24 hours left of the Trump Disaster. Plenty of time for him to do more damage, but the wee hours are nigh.
So? Being a US citizen still has privileges, even if one resides elsewhere.
I really donβt get people who believe paying taxes for services provided in a more efficient way by a state is such a hardship. Itβs how we get shit done in the modern nation-state, so people really should just suck it up and pay their fair share for the benefits they reap.
I also looked and I saw that there are many countries. (I was too lazy to do what you did, so thanks for doing that!)
Wow. Totally normal peaceful changeover of power.
I assume AlΒ₯x Jonβ¬$ et al have started calling this a coup?
