Straya! :koala:

I missed that tidbit of info somehow.

I’ve a mate that lives in New Zealand; she regales us with tales of 85 degree Christmases at the beach…

Must be a N. Islander then? It’s just starting to pick up here weather-wise and 85F outside right now. :sunny:

ETA: Bonus Straya Cake - Barby with prawns (NOT shrimps!) vegemite, a meat pie (with dead horse, natch) and a Lamington.

Big ups to blueberry cheesecake:

It’s simple, classic, and a combo made in heaven.

I cannot argue with that logic.

Cheesecake?

More vegemite, this time in cheesecake form.

Yep. Looks as good as it’ll taste.

Honestly, I’ve never had a chance to try vegemite, but I like fungus, and I’m fairly certain I’d either like it or be able to acquire a taste for it.

Best thing to do is just to take a big 'ol spoonful and go for it. :smiling_imp:

(Or less. Much less. Less is way more with this. Like trace amounts to start with, with maybe cheese spread to cut it. It’s saltier then just about anything, including a bag of salted salt with extra salt.)

Oh, I was thinking first time just try it on toast.

Do you remember Sara Lee cheesecakes in the 1960s and 1970s?

They never looked that good or that tall (in reality the cheesecake part was about 1/4" tall), but they were yummy and so exotic for the time.

They were my first experience with anything even cheesecake-like.

Loved them, and then discovered real cheesecake and was in heaven

It’s good! For toast, I prefer Marmite but Vegemite is ace for stir-fry.
