Lightning strikes a river

Probably a busted log jam. Pretty logical reason for det work in a river.

Lightning or C4 no matter, it was still way cool.

If I were to guess someone is either water-logging or removing a navigation hazard, because a lot of pieces of old tree come up to the surface.

bug chunks of partially waterlogged tree and bubbles from the streambed, which just got quite a jolt too.

Yes, so many people got a charge out of it that it was sent in to Current Events. Unfortunately, it met resistance when the editor said “Watt?”.
