Fixed that for ya!
Wow. After all these years, I still have such a crush on her!
That was a cover that needed making.
Oddly, the original just came up on the play list. Mr. Armstrong did that really well.
It’s good, but Lawnmower Deth beat him to it by 3 decades nearly and it’s way better!
(Ms Wilde herself appeared on stage with them a few years ago at a festival).
I love Susanna Hoffs. The “Under the Covers” albums that she and Matthew Sweet recorded together are just great.
That was actually a wonderful cover, though I think like most folks the Manic Monday cover really made me happy. But his nice, clean cover of Kids in America still can’t move me like the cover done by The Muffs, which is a heck of a lot grittier.
Ok, fine, I just like The Muffs. Kim Shattuck was totally awesome.
Susanna Hoffs…sigh. My college years MTV crush of crushes.
The Bangles were the first band to release it though. Prince pulled it from his album and offered it to Susanna, who made it a hit with her band.
Can we also note the pure joy that is Green Day’s cover of That Thing You Do?
God, I love the Muffs. I was so gutted when Kim died last year.
So was I. She was unique and awesome and it was a tough loss.
