It’s amazing how many hit songs have sampled Rich Girl.

As much as I like their covers, I love Pomplamoose’s classics.

“But have you no compassion? I’ve rested here for centuries, ever since I was a small pebble, as did my fathers before me. I’ve added so carefully to my atom collection, building up the finest molecular structure in the neighborhood. And now, to be snatched away right before deebling time, it’s–it’s quite unrock of you.”

(Zelazny, of course )

To my mind, the finest Hall & Oates cover was sung in the back of a van, with kazoos…

I still think Lake Street Dive has the best cover:

There are some nice duets on Daryl’s House.

Christ almighty. I think the world can do without ANY Hall and Oates remakes. It was awful the first time around and there was a reason they called this type of music ‘wuss rock’ on the Simpsons. The 70’s were the epitome of ‘wuss rock’.

Danielle ate the Sandwich did a great job on the ukulele, too - adding her own little mashup.

Oh yeah, totally, the 70’s = wuss rock. I mean, what with Zepp and everything.

How odd.

I hear a tambourine.

And yet I do not see a tambourine.
