For some reason I got excited to hear this because I somehow knew it would sound just like the demos from all of the small-time punk/ska bands (most hailing from NJ, NY and PA) that I saw many, many times while attending DIY punk shows in PA in the '90s. I was totally right, it sounds just like them and brought back feelings.

There’s gotta be a German word for “simultaneously endorse and disavow” to describe my feeling about this.
