a bizarre audio tour of the Munster family home, with songs sung by each of the cast members.

I never heard this album, but if I’d owned it I can tell you I’d have worn out the groove on the “Grandpa” Al Lewis track.

The Munsters theme has lyrics? Why didn’t I know this when I was a kid?

Butch Patrick would go on to release a “cover” of The Munsters Theme in the early 80s with new lyrics about what Eddie’s up to now. It’s…pretty much exactly what you’d expect.

what was their least weird release that year?

I’m positive I heard some of this on Dr. Demento, either as samples or full tracks. The dialog and song with Butch Patrick in particular stands out. Glad to hear the whole thing!
