Early in Frank Zappa’s career he was involved in a similar novelty 45 called “Dear Jeepers” that was more or less a ripoff of “Dinner With Drac.” He produced and played on it, but I gather it was done for a local TV personality who had a horror movie show on Saturday nights.

the channel 20 horror movie show in Detroit – Thriller – used the psycho-breakdown of Zeppelin’s Whole Lotta Love for the theme music in the intro and ads. I always loved it but it wasn’t until I was a teenager obsessed with Zep that I found out where it was from. bit of a mindfuck.
