I hate it already, just from the trailer.
Kawaii anime eyes don’t work on “realistic” models.
I get that she’s a cyborg. It’s still creepy. Gally’s eyes in the anime are huge but that’s a product of the style, not an especially significant feature, seeing as everone except street thugs in the OVA have big anime eyes.

There’s a way it could work, she goes through several transformations in the story, but it looks wierd so far.

Samurai Champloo is also highly adaptable and sort nods to Kurosawa films. It would be interesting to see how they’d cast it. Pity Toshiro Minfune wouldn’t be around to cameo. It’s amazing to think that he was only a little older than Stan Lee.
