Heaven forbid you have a cold snap (balaclava), wear a burka or niqab, or have a bad case of sniffles (hygienic face mask).
What’s a “normal person”? Does this count?
Or this?
Or this?
Or how about Jean Charles de Menezes, shot seven times in the head for living in the same apartment block as a terrorism suspect while being ambiguously brown?
Hopefully they covered their faces with the posters and leaflets.
“Hey, you can’t cover your face here!”
“Excuse me?! I’m reading very important material!”
“On the basis of Frank’s suspicion, Gold Commander Cressida Dick authorised officers to continue pursuit and surveillance, and ordered that the suspect be prevented from entering the Tube system.”
The same Cressida Dick from this post?
London police arrest man who covered face during public facial recognition trials
If you get arrested on the basis of a false positive, I wonder how hard it is to get yourself released?

Almost impossible from what I’ve heard.
Especially if named Buttle.
Yup. Oversaw a clusterfuck that ended with an innocent man being held down and shot in the head by armed police, went on to become the Metropolitan Police Commissioner.
At first I thought this meant “trial” as in a legal proceeding determining guilt and punishment
Tempting, but no, I need to vote for a known remain party.
Hard decision: Vote for the bullying, arrogant leader of the confused, lost Gremloids? Or vote for Lord Buckethead?
I’d say that’s a bit of an overstatement.
I was directly affected by IRA bombing (Manchester) and wholeheartedly do not accept surveillance, least of all for an alleged “common good”.
Not really. When authorities pick and choose rationalizations depending on the audience the true answer is “fuck you, that’s why”.
Not sure why but there is little in this world as enraging as a policeman being patronizing. We’re adults, don’t act towards us like we’re children.
“The guy told them to p*** off and then they gave him the £90 public order fine for swearing,”
You know, I’d like to see someone take a police officer and fuck with their lives in maddening ways and see how long it takes them to start swearing. I really hate that thing that authorities do where they turn perfectly ordinary expected reactions into crimes. (like that thing where someone is helpless getting pummeled by cops, yeah you’re going to raise your hands to defend yourself, shouldn’t be considered a “resisting arrest” or “assault on an officer”).
You should be allowed to be a normal human, even while under the scrutiny of the police.
The way to fight this is for the neighbors/citizens of police need to make a database of who they are, what is their address, what is the car, who is their spouse, and make it publicly available.
If we can’t walk the streets without being assumed guilty they should not have the cover of a private home.
For instance … if you have a neighbor who is a police … drive to their house and mark them on the WAZE app as spotted police right while driving past the front of their house … repeatedly.
Yes, I generalized. Feelings expressed to me does not represent the whole.
