You might appreciate this tidbit: The Claw was a substitute teacher at my high school in the late 80’s. He was quiet, like really quiet, so I can’t really say if he was nice or an ass.

My wife and I rode an elevator in Hong Kong with Michael Palin, he is every bit as warm and engaging as you would expect.
