Army gets sideways too. I used to drive an M113 APC for my squad. Coming off some of those red clay trails onto the asphalt could get tricky. The treads weren’t all metal either. They had hard rubber pads in the middle. I guess those were there to help with the skidding.

I miss the M113. Drove A2s and A3s, and the M577 too. The brakes could be pretty grabby, as many a TC can attest after smashing his face into the 50 cal mount due to a sudden stop. Going sideways in a M577 was always worrisome.

Yes, but most of those maxims are things you hope would happen to other people. Like, say, Maxims 3-6.
Or Sgt. Schlock. I definitely would rather he happened to someone else.
