I’ve been eyeing the ROLI Seaboard Rise for a while as I’m a keyboardist who’s dreadful at playing guitar, but there’s no way I can afford/justify buying an expensive new instrument now even used.

Have you managed to try out the Seaboard? It looks cool, but I’m many hundreds of miles from the nearest Guitar Center…

I got to try out the Grand last year. There’s certainly a learning curve to the different interface, but overall it didn’t feel drastically more complex than playing velocity sensitive keys while using the pitch bend and mod wheels/levers on more traditional keyboards. It definitely felt like something I could get used to, and more “at home” to me than a guitar.
