I’m not sure how Trump’s ignorance of something is proof that ignorance of it should be acceptable in a presidential candidate.

Anyway, the nuclear triad is not an obscure concept.

“A nuclear triad is a three-pronged military force structure that consists of land-launched nuclear missiles, nuclear-missile-armed submarines, and strategic aircraft with nuclear bombs and missiles” is not bullshit.

Remember when that one guy who wanted to abolish the Dept. of Energy was appointed Secretary of the Dept. of Energy? That was fun.
General ignorance of the functions of government institutions is almost a requirement for R candidates at this point.

Yeah, I’m sorry, but I just can’t get myself worked up over this answer. Ramaswamy is hot garbage for a million things I care about. His inability to articulate a cold war era nuclear strategy that may or may not still be relevant today, depending on who you ask, is about #5,347 on my list of things about him that bother me.

Definitely some parallels!
In the end, after Perry finally learned everything D of Energy does he turned out to be not too horrible at the job.
DeVos, otoh, already knew what D of Education did, and actively worked to essentially strip it for parts like some vulture capitalist scheme.
And apologies for getting off topic, but it does all seem related to the current MAG governance strategy. :rage:
