That’s why they are obsessed with them to the exclusion of the actual poll that counts. The only poll that matters.
They have been saying for years that their opinion polls say they are more popular so they can’t have lost in the actual poll.

Newsmax and the other “Conservative Media” are going to be in dire straits if there’s a Democratic sweep of the election; the Orange Cheeto will end up back in court for even more active cases with his legal and political fate sealed.
Once the MAGA movement loses their tangerine idol to the tides of change, all the fascist-adjacent “news channels” will lose BS to report and shrinking revenue streams. I will be very happy to see their stock plummet. There will always be a cadre of anti-democratic assholes out there but their impact on our daily stress levels will fade quickly.

I actually think this is one of the biggest things working against trump right now. Even those who weren’t really paying attention have a sense memory of waking up every morning to the WTF!?! shit he tweeted while they were asleep. It was a constant barrage of world-teetering juvenile nonsense and it really took a toll. I think that just having a teeny little break from Jan ‘20 until this past spring gave everyone a deeper sense that “this was not normal!” and just aren’t willing to go back to that constant state of tension.

The Trump shooting is not news anymore, except in their world, but then there is always some new weird idea they’re freaking out over-- to step into the right-wing bubble is like stepping into the Twilight Zone, and then 6 months or a year from now that weird new idea will have disappeared and they’ll be on some newer weirder concept.

Do you think Trump will try filing paperwork for 2028 the day after the election if he loses by a “yuge” amount? “No, I’m still a candidate for President, so this case needs to be delayed until after the 2028 election or it’s election interference!”
I think even the people near the top of the pyramid that is his cult campaign would tell him that’s not going to work.
