Y’know, taking this in conjunction with the proposal that we need to add “Category 6” to describe the new monster hurricanes that are spawning, I’m on the verge of starting to consider there just miiiiiiiiiiiight be something to this whole climate change thing. /s

The NOAA webpage uses the color rgb(122,14,127) or #7a0e7f, near #800080 which is the web standard for purple but still not far from #8b008b which is the web standard for dark magenta. The pantone color you posted is #e3007a so has a lot more red than blue, more like web deep pink. These aren’t really as well-defined words as you’re implying. :man_shrugging:

And after magenta, then what?
