Malcolm McLaren's son torched his punk collection to protest the 40th anniversary of punk "celebrations"

Not for anarchy, then it’s just another job.

That’s why I’m not an anarchist…too many rules.

Eh, KLF did that in 1994 when they torched a million quid.

Also, one of my favorite jokes from a little known comedian.

“My brother is even more punk than me. One day he caught his foot tapping to country music - and cut it off.”

It’s better to reign in Annexia than serve as a Liquefactionist in Interzone.

(Look, don’t blame me, I voted for mezcalitas!)

Man, talk about letting other people dictate what you do with your stuff. “Gee, people I don’t like appreciate stuff that I have, I guess I’ll burn it.” I wonder what else can the masses do to get this guy to take extreme actions?

Another dead junkie unworthy of hero worship.

You beat me to it. I hoped to comment on the copycat antics here.

Another headline might be “Rich Panty Capitalist Wants Attention”

So anarchists can’t get paid?

Being part of the system negates any claims to anarchy.

Not sure… But he is NOT punk at all )))

No hero worship here – even the worst of us has had something to contribute to this world, even if it’s a very interesting piece of advice.

So it almost certainly didn’t say that.

So, I’ve applied for a grant to do a documentary of this amazing amazing event that future historians will surely mark as a key moment in the liberation of art from the yoke of referential tangibility. So if anyone could grab me some of the burnt bits, I’d really really appreciate it, especially if they have identifiable writing on them. Please put them in an envelope and leave it in a hardcover copy of Dickens’ Great Expectations at the British Library, you know, the main branch by St. Pancras. Thanks in advance.

Anarchy is OK i guess, I prefer apathy myself.

Tis good for the blood pressure.

So… if everyone is madly activist, your apathy is anarchistic.

“Punk has become another marketing tool to sell you something you don’t need.”

Wasn’t that what his dad did with the Pistols from the start? Wasn’t that what Lydon was so pissed off about by the time the band imploded?

I’ve been waiting, but nobody’s written it yet, so blame me:

“Being Punk these days is Daft.”
