cat’s figured out we could keep the cold away with fire and store grain which attracts their food source so they just found us convenient to hang out with.
We also have hands that are perfectly adapted for grooming and petting.

My interpretation is that cats are semi-domesticated. We’ve bred them for company and for pest control, but they are autonomous for the most part. Unlike dogs they don’t necessarily serve people in a direct way, they serve a function by being around us.
Aw. Those poor kitties are bored.
I did like how some of them would stop with a ‘I not up to anything posture’ when he looked around.
