Revenge of the Jedi poster. That was a great movie!

…or a normal person could hook up a few streaming devices, a 4k blu ray player and a media center pc with a 8 terabyte hard drive up to a decent sized 4k set and sound system all within that space.

(I know he done it as a hobby. I can understand as a fellow 90’s kid myself.)

Cool idea, but perhaps that video could have been a little shorter.

I wouldn’t ask Randall for any recommendations.

I have VHS vidz I have been holding onto for some reason, would love to donate 'em to something like this.
(Good ones too - original SW trilogy, Raiders, some Trek movies, Monty Python…)

No recreation would be complete without saloon-type doors leading to the “shameful” selections and skulking patrons.

True dat.

When I was in high school, I interviewed for a job at my neighborhood video store. While there waiting for my interview, I noticed this beaded curtain that I had never seen before. I went behind it, and saw porn porn porn so much porn. Porn I had never known existed. I spent the entire half hour before the interview browsing porn, more out of curiosity than anything else. Then I was called back into the interview, and what did I see? CCTV streams of the whole store. Including the porn section. I spent the entire interview sweating bullets, literally unable to give more than single word responses, knowing that the interviewer and previous interviewee had just been watching me look at porn for half an hour.

Needless to say, I did not get the job.

James Rolfe (A.K.A. Angry Videogame Nerd, A.K.A. Board James) did it before https://youtu.be/W6jVw5eZJjk and here another video with Doug Walker A.K.A. Nostalgia Critic. https://youtu.be/zBOW9ythzO0

Wait, where’s the bargain bin of movies that the store can’t rent on a bet?

Those saloon doors were always noisy, too. As soon as you heard the doors creak, everyone would instinctively turn to see who was coming out of the naughty room.

One reason people do these kinds of things is for movies. He can rent out that space to a director and turn an instant profit.
I know a guy who collect cars from the 60s and 70s and keeps them all in running condition so that when he’s contacted by someone making a movie, he has it ready. It’s literally his only job.
Yes, I know I used “literally” in it’s modern internet sense.

Not as good a basement video store as Kim’s Underground in the Village, but nice.
