Robbery is the theft of money or other valuables from another person, while holding the victim under some kind of duress, e.g. at gun point.
Burglary is the theft of valuables from a premises, business, or other establishment.
Long time ago I was a dispatcher for an alarm company in L.A. so we had this drilled into our head. The former is a 211-silent, and the latter a 459-audible (or “code 30 ringer” when talking to LAPD).

They are casually interchangeable though. Dictionary.com says: “Rob: verb… to plunder or rifle (a house, shop, etc.).”
