Hopefully he’ll be placed on a ‘no fly’ list for every domestic and international airline in Australia. Then he can enjoy finding out just how big and far away it is.

What’s the thinking behind fighter jet escorts? If the bomb blew, could two F16s (or whatever they are) catch all the falling people and safely deposit them on the ground? Will the fighter pilots heroically lower themselves into the airliner and snip the correct wire to defuse the bomb? Will they open their canopy to take careful aim at the threat actor through the airliner’s windows and pew-pew them to save the day?
This looks like a whole lotta security theater. Bravo, war-industrial complex! Quite exciting!
