I was reminded the other day how dangerous a spear can be. Some of the most exciting and quick SCA battles I’ve seen were with guys who used shield and spear.
I also remember seeing a video of a guy hunting feral hogs at night with a spear. Gives the term “squeal like a stuck pig” new meaning.
