Reboing, although the earlier post didn’t mention that the stolen pickup was an EMS vehicle.
Yeah, I was feeling somewhat (weirdly) sympathetic before, what with the necessity of having a vehicle to live there (and, let’s be honest, in 98% of the rest of America), but it being an EMS vehicle makes me less sympathetic…
Agreed.
Also…
Gotta appreciate his moxie…
Maybe he did that so he could nab one of the Disabled Persons parking spaces at the courthouse.
We’ll… On one hand, if everyone made good decisions, I and many other people in caring and social service occupations, wouldn’t have a job.
On the other hand? He shouldn’t have done that. Charitably… let’s call it “unwise” - and potentially harmful to the public who might need the services of such vehicles.
Good on the deputy though. Like most public institutions, the court system is thoroughly overloaded and court time is precious.
Is that really true, though?
For example, if nobody committed violent crimes then that doesn’t mean the people who currently work as homicide investigators would be living on the street, it just means that they’d be contributing to society in different ways.
Fair point. Though to be honest if I didn’t work in public services I probably would have ended up… A corporate lawyer? Maybe an engineer.
