Is there a ‘why not all three’ gif?
I like how these machines give you several times to ensure that your vote is correct (on the screen, and then once you print out your ballot, then before you feed it into the machine, and then you can see the number go up once you’ve fed it into the machine).
BTW, when voted close to the end of the day on Thursday, and there had been about 6000 who voted at the location… do you remember what the number of voters who showed up where you voted?
As mentioned several times above, I hope she gets sued to hell and back.
Honestly, WTF goes through the excuse for a “mind” of this spudfaced nutjob?
Let’s not insult potatoes, they contribute loads to humanity.
I will admit, I felt that guilt mere seconds after my post.
And I knew for a fact that someone from the PFC* would be on my case any moment, so, apologies.

Lots of people have imaginary friends but they generally go away in childhood.
How did you find out that information? We voted at the Chamblee Senior Center. We’ve previously voted at the Cofer-Tucker Library, but it is the second busiest early voting location in DeKalb Co. and we wanted to avoid the lines. There was a small line at the Senior Center, but it moved expeditiously.
And yes, those machines are pretty much idiot proof. I suppose any machine could be tampered with, but I’d bet they’re a whole lot more reliable (and transparent) than the previous machines – or the old punch-card system we had before 2002.
Our voting location (which is also the early voting location) always has an updated number of how many voted, which I think they update hourly? For us (Gwinnett CO), it’s at a gym in our local park, so it’s always on a sign right before you go into the gym itself. I think that stuff has to be publicly available by state law, but I’m not sure how you find it. Maybe Dekalb county’s voter page might give you the stats, if it’s not available at the voting location (maybe you just missed it?). The SoS might also have that info on their site, but I’m not sure where it would be there and if they’d do a break down by voting location.
They certainly seem to be.
Interesting. I’ve never noticed a total number of voters posted anywhere at any voting location I’ve been to in DeKalb. Of course I haven’t looked for it. I wonder if it’s something Gwinnett does that DeKalb doesn’t? A quick search online didn’t reveal anything about posting # of voters per location, but my google-fu is weak sometimes.
I did a search, but could not find it either… I do think voting totals are public information, but there may not be statewide rules about posting them. I’ve just noticed them at my polling location for years now. I actually like it, because I like to see how active my local community is in voting!
If I remember, I’ll ask my friend who lives in Dekalb this week if she’s noticed a posted sign in her polling location.
Thanks. It would certainly be good to have that number posted in all precincts. It might also be informative to have the adult population of the precinct, and the number of registered voters posted, so people could know how engaged their precinct is. It’s a shame so many people just don’t think their vote matters!
As has been said by wiser than I, if our votes didn’t matter, they wouldn’t try so hard to stop us from voting!
Hmm. Except for those whose imaginary friends had earthly agents who wrote books on how to behave. But being imaginary friends, their agents’ writings seem to allow any behaviour the imaginer prefers.
I’m so happy, 'cause today I found my friends, they’re in my head

Imagine a woman who’s a Democratic pol ever living that down. She’d be drummed out of office in a week.
