That looks like it might be a small avalanche chute. You notice them being relatively clear of trees because of frequent small avalanches. I’m sure in the summer there would be a small stream running down it, but that snow flow would have no water under it.

On the whole I think that is a very small and very slow avalanche compared to the ones that people usually get themselves killed in, but deadly nevertheless.
