Does the globe also reflect the Earth’s varying tilt throughout the year as that certainly reflects where the night/day terminus is …

It does seem to. If I’m understanding the pictures in the assembly guide on Amazon, the mask inside the globe which creates the terminator is itself very slowly rotating relative to the globe.

Too bad the gears look like cheap plastic. I really need to get that indexing head finally so I can cut my own.
