Clear from the photo that this bird was shot with a target tip (the kind of arrow used for target practice) rather than a broadhead so there’s no chance this was just a botched hunting attempt by someone trying to take home a turkey dinner. This was a deliberate act of sadism.

Fowl are fascinating. The things they can live through and adapt to are impressive. Also interesting to see a hen with such a well developed beard. She’s seemingly very healthy other than the obvious. Hope they can get her some relief.
