Yep. When you internalize the mutual respect of animals that live in packs, it becomes lonely when you aren’t part of one. So us dogless humans enjoy the social cues of canines, even if we just met them.

I could ramble, but I’ve never met a dog that didn’t eventually come around to me (some take foreeever, and still smack you in the face)
