I live in Southern England, and have never heard I called “knock, knock, ginger”.
The two terms for that “game” we do use is “knock down ginger”, or “knock knock run”.
I think some journo has mixed the 2 somehow.
When I was a kid, our flavor (midwestern America) was called “ding-dong-ditch”. Never occurred to us to do it to someone who is clinically paranoid.
Yeah. This was just cruelty.
That’s the one.
Popular in my village as a kid.
But to pull this stunt in a hospital?
I won’t share what this “prank” was called around my way growing up.
Ding Dong ditch in The Bear Flag Republic.
Same in my Detroit, MI suburb.
Definitely not a game you play in the inner-city USA.
That nurse really was cruel.
