Still not a safe space.
Maybe kids (primarily boys) should stop being told that they can’t control themselves. Plenty of kids (mostly girls) manage to do so, despite the hormones and other changes they experience during their early teen years.
And, no I’m not arguing that teens should be asexual husks, but they should very much be treated as people rather than entirely irrational beings with no control over themselves. Girls are told over and over again that they should be in control of their sexuality, and generally speaking manage to do so (because the consequences for them is much worse on a number of levels). They are not subject to any less physical and chemical changes in their bodies than boys.

Thank you for saying this. It is predatory behavior and very dangerous. Doesn’t matter that the sexes are reversed from normal.
What hit me most of all was:
Baye was charged with multiple charges of indecent behavior with a juvenile and contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile
How are there not at least a half-dozen more serious charges against her? Is it because she provided alcohol instead of drugs (still illegal, still a form of drug)? Is it because she’s a woman and the victims were boys?

I am assuming the adult is involved. Are we to believe she is just acting as a hostess with no other expectations?
This whole idea that boys with adult women is cool while girls and adult men is rape has to go. It’s abuse of power to even initiate that kind of thing and rape if it goes to where we are led to believe it went. I get it, fetish/taboo pr0n is a thing but this isn’t something we should accept for young people. Getting hung up on the ages of the kids (why is a 16 year old in middle school?) ignores that middle is a range, not a set of numbers. Some states/districts are grades 6-8, some 7-9. And it’s not clear if all the boys were students or if maybe some older boys tagged along.
Parsing these details is not where the attention should be focused.
And per the school website, their enrollment is 5th through 8th grade.

Looked briefly at news articles, which are reporting that it was definitely her and teen boys who were doing the acts, not teen-teen with a uninvolved lunch lady supervisor.

My fondest cafeteria memory was the time budget cutbacks dictated that we were only allowed half an apple. Some cafeteria worker cut all the apples in half, not from stem to calyx, but in half with a top and bottom.
