Everything old is new again, I guess. I have a matchbook that I got at a restaurant in Italy that has actual matches and a small notepad on the inside cover. The cover is plastic and the matches are flat wooden ones. There is a small loop for a tiny pencil. I got it back in the seventies; I’ll have to look through my box of matchbooks and see if I can post a pic.

I would actually find these notepads more useful if they were a stack of loose sheets in a regular sliding matchbox. If I write a note this size it’s invariably to leave somewhere or give to someone.
