You just cannot stop the put downs, can you? Please don’t respond. I won’t respond to you in future either.
The problem is that with such an argument you can also claim the Afghanis are Muslim Brotherhood and also the people from Malaysia and wherever else - they all share the same religion so they obviously have to be following the same fringe groups, right?
Turks ruled over Arabs for several centuries during the Ottoman rule and they waged wars against each other all the time. And they still do - just look at Syria or Iraq where Turkey’s army is facing Arab and Kurdish opponents. Or their relationship with Israel, for example.
Religion aside, Turks are closer to the people from the Caucasus & Black Sea region than Arabs.
I think there is a fairly well documented history for the MB - originating out of Egypt and recently being financed by Qataris. Its definitely not just another name for Muslims. If anything it was an underground opposition party in Egypt for much of its history.
There are plenty of other “fringe” groups who are also well documented. So for example we have at least two big classifications of Salafist groups - the AQ affiliated and the ISIS affiliated. Neither should be confused with the MB.
Religion aside kind of - there are Turkic speaking peoples all through central asia - the Caucasus is if anything a little spotty for Turkic languages. So for example, I would argue that the Uigurs and Uzbeks are both Turkic, but not the Armenians etc. But all Muslims share a duty to defend the Umma. Which might help explain why we have Turkic speaking Uigurs in Syria on the border with Turkey, as well as other “Turkmen” such as Uzbeks etc fighting against Bashar Assad and the Syrian government.
