They definietly have a good sound and I love bands that keep live swingin’ jazz alive, but I’ll stick with Louis’ version…https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PgiJ0OS9LwU

Black-face minstrelsy.

Huh.

Reminds me of these guys.

Is that what you see? It looks like black makeup under a white skeleton-ish mask with long black cheek whiskers. Spooky, maybe…racist, nope.

Thats some fine 60s Jug Band Revival right there!

“It looks like black makeup under a white skeleton-ish mask with long black cheek whiskers.”

black makeup

Yup, on a white musician covering black music.

under a white skeleton-ish mask with long black cheek whiskers

More or less irrelevant to the first bit.

“racist, nope.”

Racism happens unintentionally too, yo. This is straight up black-face.

I’m glad I don’t see it. Nor do I hear it. Is it racist when a black musician performs white music? I’m glad I don’t think so. If black makeup means racism then Halloween is going to be rough this year.
