I think the “both” was a mid-edit error where he thinks there are 2 mistakes.

1. its opt in and
2. they trusted a Microsoft site to accurately report on a a Microsoft product.

If I’m right in this reading, Musky is wrong on point 2 because it’s a How-To-Geek article about Microsoft, and he’s saying that a Company claims about their products are untrustworthy, while he is writing up a page of claims about his company’s product.

Community Notes is both incorrect here and should not use information from a company’s website as the fundamental source of truth about their products
