Maybe it was an owl that was trying unsuccessfully to fly off with a calf.
ETA:
Or perhaps a different large raptor, and the bird is taking a nap, tuckered out after a long flying wrassling match that began in Asia.

I hate to say it, but those “wings” are definitely artifacts of a blurry image. It’s clearly the ears and head of this “deer” blurred, and what is essentially long exposure.
