Someone with a wizard on their van will pull up shortly and tell us.
Someone on Reddit says they got a Renaissance vibe from it - and I thought that too even before I read that comment, but the vocals are not any member of that band, I’m pretty certain.
aCK, ear bleach STAT
No one knows who it is, but the YouTube content id algorithm has determined it to be a violation
Just don’t come knockin’.
I was thinking the first incarnation of Renaissance, but the vocalist doesn’t sound like Jane Relf, who was the vocalist before Annie Haslam.
“Sorry, Mister44, I got nothing. I’ll check with some of the other members in the local Custom Van Club though.”
“Let’s make a band that’s like Jefferson Starship, but not as threatening or edgy.”
Perhaps the band is from 2020, and this is a clever viral marketing gimmick?
I don’t really think that is the case, but I’m sure somebody has thought to do something like that as a way to promote their music.
Drop copies in used record shops and thrift stores, then go a reunion tour.
Pretty bold to release on a medium that becoming increasingly hard to find players for.
Somebody called?
I don’t know why you deleted your comment, but I’m glad I caught it before you did, 'cuz I’m really digging the song you had posted.
eta: ah, you reposted it! very good tune, thank you!
Sure, but all you need is just one person with a cassette player to digitize it and put on youtube!
You should update this post — someone on the original thread has identified it (Johnny Cash).
i was thinking Renaissance as well, but it’s rockier than they were. the voice sure is similar, though.
Gonna bookmark this thread…
Very curious.
There’s no way that’s Annie Haslam.
